British motorcycle racer Michael Rutter not only claimed victory today in the fourth annual TT Zero event on the Isle of Man, but also became the first man to ever ‘smash the ton’ on an electric bike by averaging more than 104.056mph around the 37-mile Mountain course.

Has Audi pulled the plug on the electric A1 and A2 e-tron?

Audi has pulled the plug on both the pure-electric A2 city car and A1 e-tron range-extender projects, reports Car magazine. Sources have told the mag that these have “now essentially been put on the back burner while Ingolstadt concentrates on other projects”.

Renault announces electric vehicle UK roadshow
